Our history<\/h2>\n

Based on the roots of classical metal construction, the company UNIMET was founded in 1996 in Atzbach (A). From the very beginning, the company has been dedicated to the design, production and assembly of high-quality and individually manufactured structural engineering solutions. Portal and conservatory construction, curtain wall facades, railings, glass balustrades and much more, primarily for the regional domestic market, formed the core area.<\/p>\n

The focus is on the processing and finishing of high-quality materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, glass and composite materials. Technical finishes and designs are closely coordinated with clients and planning architects.<\/p>\n

With the construction of the company’s own premises in Ungenach (A) in 2005\/2006, the business activities were simultaneously expanded to include the field of building-integrated solar thermal energy for solar heating. Due to the passion of the owner, the patented development, which clearly exceeds the characteristic properties of commercially available thermal collectors, is presented on the company’s own premises and still impresses with amazing performance after 15 years.<\/p>\n

Since 2012, the business area has been expanded to include designing and implementation of constructive and object-oriented solar shading solutions. Strategic partnerships allow architecturally sophisticated folding-sliding shutter solutions, automatically sun-tracking large louvre systems, to be created at the highest technical level and are now just as much a part of the product portfolio as building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). At UNIMET, the building envelope mutates into ‘smart skins’, as efficient managers of free of cost and emission-free solar energy, light and air.<\/p>\n

As an offshoot of the company’s many years of accumulated know-how, CNC machining technology for highly complex components was established as a service in 2013. Modern turning and milling centres not only supply UNIMET projects, they are also available to customers and partners for the production of precision components. CNC machining technology moved into its own newly built shop floor in 2018, which is also solar-heated by means of the inhouse energy fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n

Today, UNIMET presents itself as a manufacturer of high-quality building solutions, with an excellently trained staff of approx. 30 employees, optimally linked to the relevant industries, experienced and highly motivated. We serve international markets in both the private and commercial sectors. Our maxim has always been sustainable and constant growth. Growth not at any price, but always with our sights firmly set on the future.<\/p>\n
